Benedict is a London based creative, working in Design, Interiors & Art. He was brought up between South East Asia & England, has collected all his life, and dealt for the last 15 years in objects of standalone interest ranging across fine art, ceramics, textiles, and furniture.
In 2016 he set up art and homewares company A.PRIN known for theatrical frames, sconces and other enlivening interior detailing. Today, Benedict focuses his expressive eye on a range of residential projects, collaborating with creative clients on transportive interiors that cleverly play with received notions of good taste.
He believes good work is evident and the creative impulse isn’t limited to a single field, however it’s best to display things you might want other people to enjoy reasonably near eye level.
Launching with a collection of Trellis fabrics in 2024 Nuthall Temple is the new joint creative venture established by Benedict Foley with his partner Daniel Slowik.
Named for the one-time Nottinghamshire home of Daniel’s grandfather, Nuthall Temple represents the ideas of beauty and usefulness - an aesthetic that is equally romantic and rational - that continues to inspire and inform the design work of the pair today.
A.PRIN
Established 2016 by Benedict Foley - A.PRIN is playful take on homewares, things made to be both beautiful and useful. Picture frames and wall sconces with light touch historical allusions bring colour and wit to contemporary interior design. We make things to live with easily and to be enjoyed!
Based in East Anglia our studio is surround by a landscape created by Repton in a converted stable block on a farm part Tudor, part Soane. Early days included a 50 year vintage muck-out, and a lot of experimentation sampling colours and incorporating traditional and modern wood working techniques. Life improved with insulation and heating, and we now share the space with Nuthall Temple, the new joint venture by Benedict and his partner Daniel Slowik.

Capture the swag
Benedict Foley’s Zoffany Entrance Hall ushered visitors in to this year’s WOW!house with swagged aplomb. On entering the space, one was immediately wrapped up in the cocoon of Foley’s theatrical vision – draped in an exquisite Zoffany damask, which flowed over on to plushly lined seating at either end of the room.
